13-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. — A 13-year-old boy is recovering after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday evening, according to the Lansing Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene near W. Mt. Hope Ave and Rundle Ave around 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle colliding with the young pedestrian. The driver of the car, however, fled the scene immediately following the crash.

The boy was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. He is expected to recover from the incident.

At this time, the Lansing Police Department has not released any details regarding the suspect vehicle or driver involved in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
