Fire Contained to Single Room at Holt Mobile Home Park

LANSING, Mich.  — Firefighters responded to a blaze at the Windmill Mobile Home Community in Holt Monday night, where a fast and coordinated effort prevented the fire from spreading beyond the room of origin.

At approximately 8:34 p.m., emergency dispatchers were alerted to a fire at a mobile home located at the corner of Eifert Rd. and McCue Rd. in Holt. Multiple fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene.

According to reports, the occupant of the home was informed by neighbors that a fire had broken out, allowing them to escape the building without injury. Fire crews arrived on the scene around 8:50 p.m., where they found the Delhi Fire Department already at work. Additional mutual aid was provided by the Mason Fire Department, Lansing Fire Department, and Windsor Township Fire Department.

Thanks to the swift response and teamwork among the departments, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the room of origin, preventing further damage to the home. By 9 p.m., the fire was officially declared out.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
