Four Drunk Drivers Arrested in Ingham County During Overnight Traffic Stops

LANSING, Mich. — The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of four individuals on charges of drunk driving during a series of overnight traffic stops. The arrests occurred between 10:00 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. across various townships in Ingham County.

The first arrest took place at approximately 10:00 p.m. in Wheatfield Township, when a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a field on the 1400 block of East Holt Road. Upon arrival, the deputy arrested a 48-year-old man from Saginaw County for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was later lodged in the Ingham County Jail.

At around 12:45 a.m., another deputy stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on US-127 near Holt Road in Alaiedon Township. The 21-year-old woman behind the wheel, a resident of Mason, was arrested for DUI and taken to the Ingham County Jail.

In the early hours of the morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a 49-year-old man from Holt was arrested for drunk driving after being stopped near the intersection of Aurelius and Sycamore in Delhi Township. The driver was also lodged at the Ingham County Jail.

The fourth and final arrest occurred at around 2:30 a.m. in Delhi Township when a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 2400 block of Cedar Street. The individual’s identity has not been disclosed, but they were arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office continues to emphasize its commitment to promoting safe roadways through proactive traffic enforcement. The department encourages residents to report any suspected impaired drivers to ensure safer streets for all.
