LANSING, Mich. (AP) — According to the Lansing Police Department, gunshots were fired late on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) in Lansing, sending at least four persons to the hospital.
According to authorities, the incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the Eastside area. Officers responded to reports of shooting near the Frandor Shopping Center at the intersection of East Michigan Avenue and Magnolia Street. At the time, there was a considerable crowd in the neighborhood.
According to authorities, one group arrived at the party and started a fire on another. At least four people were shot and sent to the hospital, one of whom was in severe condition.
The Lansing Police Department is requesting that anyone who was in the gathering and left before police arrived call 517-483-4600.
