LANSING, Mich. — The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office reported that four individuals were arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated during a busy Saturday night. According to a post on the Sheriff’s office Facebook page, deputies responded to multiple incidents across the county, making arrests from 10 p.m. on Saturday through the early morning hours of Sunday.
The first arrest occurred at 10 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to a report of a vehicle stuck in a field in the 1400 block of East Holt Rd. in Wheatfield Township. Upon arrival, deputies found a 48-year-old man from Saginaw County behind the wheel. The man, who appeared to be intoxicated, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Around 12:45 a.m., deputies made their second arrest when a vehicle was stopped heading southbound on U.S. 127 near Holt Rd. in Alaiedon Township. The 21-year-old female driver from Mason was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The third arrest took place just before 1:30 a.m. in Delhi Township. A deputy stopped a vehicle near Aurelius and Sycamore, where a 49-year-old man from Holt was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged similarly for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Finally, at 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Cedar St. in Delhi Township. The 40-year-old male driver from Lansing was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
All four individuals were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Ingham County Jail. The Sheriff’s office reminded the public of the dangers of impaired driving and encouraged everyone to make responsible decisions when behind the wheel.
