Ionia County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help in Locating Stolen Camper

Lansing, MI — The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 2016 Forest River Cherokee travel trailer that was stolen from a hotel parking lot last week.

According to the sheriff’s office, the theft occurred on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 6:40 a.m. The camper was taken from the parking lot of the Super 8 Hotel, located near M-66 and I-96 in Ionia County. The travel trailer belongs to an elderly couple who are staying in the area for medical treatment. It is reported to contain all of the couple’s personal belongings.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious or knows the whereabouts of the trailer to contact them.
