Lansing, MI – The Lansing Police Department teamed up with Power 96.5 FM Lansing for an annual backpack giveaway, donating more than 600 backpacks to children preparing to return to school.
The giveaway provided students with backpacks ahead of the new school year while giving the department an opportunity to support local families.
The Lansing Police Department said the effort was a great way to wrap up the summer and help kids get ready for the start of school.
