Lansing Police Seek Public’s Help in Two Violent Crimes

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in two separate violent crimes that occurred late last month — a sexual assault and an armed robbery.

According to the Lansing Police Department, a sexual assault was reported in the 400 block of Grand Avenue during the late afternoon hours of April 29. Investigators have not released details about the suspect but are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area to come forward.

In a separate case, police are also investigating an armed robbery that took place around 11:30 p.m. on April 28 in the 6000 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue. The suspect in that incident was described as wearing a black hooded jacket, black gloves, a black mask, black shoes, and a black backpack. The individual was reportedly armed with a black handgun featuring a silver ejection port.

Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan is now offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in either case. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (517) 483-STOP.

Authorities are hopeful that with the help of the community, they can identify and locate the suspects responsible for these crimes.
