Lansing, MI – The Lansing year-round Farmers Market in Meridian Township has officially moved indoors for its 14th season. This year, the popular market will be hosted inside the Meridian Mall, located in the JCPenney’s corridor, and will feature over 50 local vendors.
The transition to an indoor space marks a return to the mall, where the market has garnered positive feedback in past years. Market Manager Tom Carey expressed his hopes for a successful season ahead, noting that while the first day often involves some adjustments, last year’s turnout and vendor sales were particularly encouraging. “The vendors were really happy about the turnout and the sales they had, and the customers that were coming through. So, I’m hoping that this year will be the same or even better,” Carey said.
The indoor market is scheduled to run every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a wide variety of locally sourced goods ranging from fresh produce to handmade goods and artisanal products. The market will remain open indoors until April, when it will return to its outdoor location for the warmer months.
As the market kicks off its indoor season, shoppers can look forward to a cozy, winter-friendly atmosphere with the convenience of indoor shopping while still supporting local farmers, artisans, and producers. With the promising turnout from previous years, both vendors and customers are eager to see how this season unfolds.
