Motorcyclist Hospitalized with Life-Threatening Injuries After Crash with Box Truck in Delhi Township

LANSING, Mich. — A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Onondaga was hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries following a collision with a box truck in Delhi Township on Saturday afternoon, according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m. near the intersection of Eifert Road and McCue Road. Deputies responded to reports of a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a box truck.

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Eifert Road when he attempted to pass a large box truck that was beginning a left turn into a nearby driveway. The collision ensued shortly after.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Officials noted that the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the box truck was unharmed.
