As snowflakes blanketed the region overnight, several viewers sent in their snow measurements, offering a glimpse into how much snow had accumulated in their neighborhoods.
In Lansing, snowfall reached a total of 6.0 inches, according to a report from local viewer Laura, who measured the snow in her front yard near E. Grand River and southbound US-127. Similarly, East Lansing saw the same amount of snow, with Scott, a local resident near Costo on E. Saginaw St., sending in a photo showing 6.0 inches of snow accumulation.
To the south, Jackson residents reported a more modest total, with Patty, a viewer from Brooklyn, MI, capturing a photo of 4.0 inches of snow near Lake Columbia. While snow totals in Jackson County have yet to be fully confirmed, the image provided a glimpse into the lighter snowfall compared to surrounding areas.
Other cities also reported noteworthy snow totals. Grand Ledge, just to the west of Lansing, saw 6.0 inches of snow, while nearby DeWitt and Haslett recorded 5.0 inches each. Eaton Rapids experienced the lightest snowfall in the immediate area, with 4.0 inches being reported.
