Lansing, MI – Lansing Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of West Street at approximately 9:30 a.m. on March 5.
Heavy smoke was visible from the roof of the two-story residence, and crews accessed the attic to locate and extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Smoke detectors had recently been installed in the home through the Lansing Fire Department Smoke Detector Installation Program.

Responding units included Engines 41, 48, and 49, Trucks 41 and 46, Medic 41, and Battalion Chief 43.
