LANSING, MI — A 63-year-old Lansing man was found dead outside the Michigan State Police Lansing post early Tuesday morning, sparking an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to Michigan State Police, the man had called state police operations earlier that morning, threatening to harm himself. In response to the call, troopers arrived at the parking lot of the Lansing post, located on North Canal Road, at approximately 6:30 AM. There, they discovered the man deceased next to his vehicle.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man, and the cause of death remains under investigation. The Lansing post was temporarily closed for several hours as investigators worked at the scene.
