LANSING, Mich. — Two separate crashes occurred on Interstate 69 near Bath Monday afternoon, causing significant traffic delays, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
The first incident took place at approximately 3:33 p.m. on eastbound I-69, just after the US-127 Exit 89. The crash resulted in the closure of all eastbound lanes, leading to a temporary traffic backup. MDOT officials reported that the scene was cleared by 3:52 p.m., allowing traffic to resume.
A second crash occurred on westbound I-69, though the exact time of the incident has not been confirmed. This crash was cleared by 3:45 p.m., just minutes before the eastbound lanes were reopened.
At this time, no injuries have been reported, and the cause of the crashes remains under investigation. MDOT advised drivers to remain cautious and aware of potential delays as traffic conditions returned to normal.
