LANSING, Mich. — A 29-year-old man from Grand Blanc remains in critical condition after being involved in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Oceola Township.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:57 a.m. on Argentine Road near Bergin Road. The driver was traveling southbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck veered off the road and struck a tree, causing it to overturn.
Emergency responders, including fire and EMS crews, worked to extricate the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle. He was then airlifted to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor via Survival Flight, where he remains in critical condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that speed may have played a role in the crash. Authorities confirmed that the driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
The crash resulted in road closures along Argentine Road for several hours as investigators from the Traffic Safety Bureau of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office worked to process the scene and clear debris. The road remained closed for about three hours during the investigation and cleanup.
The incident remains under investigation.
