LANSING, Mich. — Lansing police are investigating a shooting that left one man hospitalized in critical condition on Monday afternoon.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1400 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities located a car believed to be involved in the shooting at the intersection of West Willow and Grand River Avenue.
Inside the vehicle, police discovered a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Authorities have identified a person of interest in connection with the shooting and have taken them into custody for questioning. However, Lansing police have not released further details regarding the suspect or the circumstances leading to the incident.
