Lansing Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Assault and Vehicle Theft Suspects

LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is calling on the public to assist in identifying suspects involved in two recent incidents in the city. Authorities are actively investigating an assault and an attempted vehicle theft, both of which occurred in late 2024 and early 2025.

The first case involves an assault that took place on November 11, 2024, in the 6200 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue. Investigators have not released further details regarding the nature of the assault, but they are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible.

The second case concerns an attempted vehicle theft that occurred on January 25, 2025, at the 6200 block of South Cedar Street. The suspects, described as two young individuals, are believed to have attempted to steal a vehicle. One of the suspects is described as a Black male, aged between 16 and 20 years, with dreadlocks and wearing a black puffy coat. Both suspects arrived and left the scene in a stolen vehicle, according to law enforcement.

Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the identification or arrest of the individuals involved. Tipsters can remain anonymous when contacting Crime Stoppers at (517) 483-STOP.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing justice to those impacted by these crimes.
