Lansing Home and Garden Show Offers Inspiration for Homeowners and Families

LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Home and Garden Show, which kicked off at 2 p.m., is set to run through the weekend, offering attendees a unique opportunity to connect with local businesses, explore stunning garden displays, and participate in a variety of educational and entertaining seminars. The event, held at the MSU Pavilion, is designed to inspire homeowners and gardening enthusiasts as they prepare for upcoming home improvement projects.

One of the highlights of the event is Family Day, scheduled for Saturday. On this special day, families can bring their children to enjoy hands-on workshops and activities, all while exploring the exhibits and displays. Carolyn Alt, Senior Show Manager, expressed her excitement about the day, stating, “One of our favorite events down here at the Lansing show is Family Day. On Saturday morning, kids are free, and we have all kinds of hands-on activities around the show.”

The show features several impressive garden displays, including those created by local businesses such as FoxScapes. Nathan Fox, Owner of FoxScapes, shared the intense effort that goes into building these elaborate gardens. “We come in Monday morning at 8 a.m., and about 20 guys come in and work nonstop. We have about two and a half days, approximately 45 hours, to complete everything,” Fox explained.

In addition to the garden displays, the event also features a variety of educational seminars and vendor booths, providing attendees with the resources they need for their next home project.

Tickets for the Lansing Home and Garden Show are available for purchase both at the door and online. With its blend of inspiring garden designs, informative sessions, and family-friendly activities, the show promises to be an engaging experience for all attendees.
