Lansing, MI – A 32-year-old man was arrested following a domestic-related incident that involved multiple shots being fired inside a home in Jackson County on March 15, 2025.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Devante Alan Eatmon allegedly threatened to kill his family and fired two shots into the kitchen floor during a tense confrontation. Fortunately, law enforcement confirmed that all individuals inside the residence were able to exit the home safely before deputies arrived on the scene.
Eatmon, who faces several charges, was taken into custody without incident. The charges against him include:
- Weapons firearms discharge in or at a building
- Felonious assault
- Weapons-firearms possession by a prohibited person
- Domestic assault
He is currently being held at the Jackson County Jail with a bond set at $25,000. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and further details have not yet been released.
