Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Seriously Injured on US-127 in Ingham County

LANSING, Mich. — A 54-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after a motorcycle crash left him seriously injured Sunday morning on US-127, according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene near the intersection of US-127 and Barnes Road at approximately 11:45 a.m. Sunday. The sheriff’s office reports that the man was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash, which resulted in the vehicle catching fire.

The rider, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, was transported to Sparrow Hospital with serious injuries. As of the latest reports, he is currently recovering from the accident.

Authorities confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Northbound lanes of US-127 were closed between Barnes Road and Bellevue Road for approximately 2.5 hours while the crash scene was processed and investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
