Lansing, MI – The Lansing Police Department announced that 25-year-old Octavious Allen Stanfill, who had been reported missing earlier this month, has been located and is safe.
Police shared the update on July 22 after asking for the public’s assistance in locating Stanfill, who was reported missing by his family on July 18, 2026.
According to the Lansing Police Department, Stanfill was last seen on July 14 at the City of Lansing Rescue Mission, located at 415 W. Kalamazoo St. Authorities said he was known to frequent several locations in the Lansing area, including the CATA bus station, Capitol Area Library, The Nest, and The Shuffle.
Stanfill was described as 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. At the time he was reported missing, police said he had short curly black hair and identifying tattoos, including “MM” on the right side of his neck and “Loyalty” on his left inner forearm.
Police previously said he was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans with multicolored rips and was riding a black Hapali electric scooter.
The Lansing Police Department thanked the public for sharing information and assisting with the search. No additional details about where Stanfill was located or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance were released.
