Lansing, MI — The Lansing Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred early Friday morning, November 29, on West Barnes Avenue, located off South Washington Avenue between Baker and Mt. Hope Avenue.
The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. when fire crews responded to reports of a blaze at the residential property. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the house. The fire was quickly brought under control, and crews proceeded to search the home. Fortunately, no occupants were found inside the structure, and no injuries were reported.
Lansing Fire Chief Michael Clevenger stated that the cause of the fire remains under investigation. At this time, authorities have not identified any potential sources of the blaze. The fire department is continuing to look into all possibilities as they work to determine what led to the incident.
