Shooting at East Lansing Gas Station Leaves One Injured

EAST LANSING, Mich. – A shooting at a gas station in East Lansing on Monday evening has left one person injured, according to local authorities.

The East Lansing Police Department received reports of the shooting around 5:13 p.m. and responded to a gas station located at the intersection of Lake Lansing and Abbot Roads. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of the shooting but no victims or suspects at the scene.

A short time later, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Officials have stated that the victim’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, and they are expected to survive.

Though police have not released further details surrounding the incident, they emphasized that the shooting did not appear to be random. Authorities also reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The East Lansing Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward.
